I am Abhijna Vemuru Kasa, a Hyderabadi artist based in San Francisco, California. My work is inspired by feminism, womanhood, and mythology. I use mediums of painting, performance, fiber, and photography to reflect art for feminism and pose questions of femininity in the world. I finished my Bachelor of Fine arts in the School of the Art Institute of Chicago with a merit scholarship and Master of Fine arts at Royal College of Art, London. This helped me to expose my art process and subject matter to different perspectives. After becoming a mother, I started to take huge inspiration from motherhood in my expressions. I currently reside in the bay area, California working as a full-time artist and a mother.
